Description: Vintage 1976 Cartier Tank “La Nature” Palisandre de Rio dial with same trim. This ref was an experiment by Cartier New York, and lasted only a couple of years. In 1972, Robert Hocq, assisted by a group of investors, bought Cartier Paris. In 1974 and 1976, respectively, the group repurchased Cartier London and Cartier New York, thus re-connecting Cartier worldwide. With the new corporate unity came the end of many experimental designs, including this one.
