Description: To the best of my knowledge, this is an original 1969 GTO air cleaner. The 69 GTO had snorkels that were spaced farther apart than 70-72 A body cars, the last picture shows a 71-72 dual snorkel air cleaner laid on top of the 69, so you can see the wider angle for the snorkels. The snorkels themselves are also a completely radiused oval shape, instead of being more of a squared-off oval of the 70-72 air cleaners. I have media blasted it, so you can see everything. It's in good condition with a couple issues: one of the Auto-Thermo-AC valves is not connected properly to the flap, so it rattles and will need to be fixed. One of the inner sheet metal pieces that baffle incoming air from the snorkels is missing, and the other is cracking. These baffles are not found on the 70-72 models. Includes original breather filter holder with what appears to be a 1969 date code, AC thermal switch / sensor, with clip in good condition, and an original chrome lid (chrome is presentable for an original car, but of course should be re-chromed to be perfect) I have had this air cleaner in my possession since 2002, but I have no plans of doing a 69 GTO, so I am hoping this will make its way to someone doing a proper restoration. As far as I know, this part is not being reproduced, and is lumped in as a "69-72" air cleaner for reproduction purposes. Thanks for looking! RRJJ01
