1959 VINTAGE E.S. LOWE RENAISSANCE CHESSMEN with BOARD IN ORIGINAL BOX SET #831

Description: 1959 VINTAGE E.S. LOWE RENAISSANCE CHESSMEN with BOARD IN ORIGINAL BOX SET #831 This Vintage Renaissance Chessmen with Board set #831 was made by E. S. Lowe in 1959 according to the date on the 15 page Instruction Booklet inside. Carved in the 15th Century Renaissance style, they are copies of the licensed version of the King Richard Chessmen designed by ANRI of Italy. The Black and White Kings are 4” tall, the pawns are 2 1/2”, they all are slightly weighted with black felt bases, and each piece has the ANRI raised letters mark on the back side of the base just above the pedestal as shown in my photos. The 15 1/4” square folded paper covered Marbled Black and White Lowe Chessboard has 1 9/16” tiles, and it all comes inside the 16 1/4” by 12 1/4” by 1 1/2” original box. There is a slight bit of wear to the edges of the box and one corner of the folded board has a soft crease on the back side, but overall its does not look like it was played with much if at all and its in very good vintage condition.
