The case screws off and on very easily, no brassing. The glass crystal appears to be original, only minor scratches. The white porcelain dial dose have some hairline scratches, Black enamel roman numerals, Blue steel hands, The Elgin G M Wheeler movement was named after one of the founders George M Wheeler. 18size 15 jewels, full anti magnetic bras plates The Mossely Traveling regulator bridge was patented by Elgin in 1987. 15 syn ruby jewels excellent running 137 year old watch runs about 3 minutes a day slow. a good cleaning and oiling would improve the time keeping but remember even new 137 years ago it was not as good as today quarts watches. This 18 size watch is in really great condition, stems setting and stem winding. This is a great example of American watchmaking skills.
