Description: Antique German Kister Covered Wagon China Head DollShe stands about 14 inches high and has an original antique cloth stuffed body.She has 10 vertical curls around her head and a middle unpainted part lineHer eyes have blue irises without outlines or highlights. The porcelain head has no cracks or fractures, just a couple of dimples in the porcelain that look like they were baked in. See the 16th picture for a dimple in her right shoulder and over her right eye. Inside the shoulder plate is a painted 27 and an incised 7. She has pink tinted porcelain arms and all her fingers on both hands. Her right arm has a fracture line down it - please study the arm photos. She came to me with cords tied inside her original body. I cut the original cords and removed the head to check the inside and then tried to put the head back on the body similarly to how I found her. Her original legs were broken so I removed them and replaced them with antique replacements that I found from another ebay seller. These antique replacement legs have an incised 3 on the side near the knee and are thick antique porcelain. The black boots have lost some paint. When I removed the original legs, I did find some old cotton like gauze in the legs at the knee so she has had some old repair done long time ago in her past - which was also evident at the arm ties. the right arm has no more stuffing inside it. She wears a nice pair of lace trimmed pantaloons that I found for her that fit her waist nicely and button in the back. The simple underskirt is pinned at her waist - though it has a hook, it is made for a wider waist, so I closed it with the pin. She is ready for someone to make her a pretty antique dress.
